New School professor and film scholar Noah Isenberg, author of Edgar G. Ulmer: A Filmmaker at the Margins, recounts the story of one of Hollywood’s most elusive and famously offbeat careers. Join us as we uncover the mysteries surrounding this near-forgotten émigré director. With Dana Stevens, movie critic for Slate magazine and Bookends columnist for the New York Times Book Review.

Noah Isenberg is the author of Detour (BFI Film Classics) and the book review editor at Film Quarterly magazine.  His writing has appeared in Bookforum, the Los Angeles Review of Books, the TLS, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times.
