You are cordially invited to join us on Friday, May 2, 2014 in celebration of a new generation of design critics, editors, authors, curators, researchers, and educators. "Lingua Franca: The 2014 D-Crit Conference" promises a fast-paced afternoon packed with fresh thinking about design, featuring SVA MFA Design Criticism graduating students, British architecture critic and Strelka Press director Justin McGuirk and, as guest speakers: novelist and critic Nicholson Baker; curator of Design and Architecture at Hong Kong's M+ museum Aric Chen; material anthropologist and researcher Emily Stokes-Rees; and digital humanities advocate Peter Lunenfeld

Thanks to the generous support of our supporting partners, including Mailchimp, the 2014 D-Crit conference is free and open to the public, but you do need to sign up to save your comfortable seat in the SVA Theatre. You are welcome to join us for one or all of the presentations.
