Join the brilliant Dan Fox for a celebration of Pretentiousness, an incisive attempt to define --and defend-- the various roles and invocations of pretentiousness in society. Chris Kraus writes: “Exhaustively researched and passionately written, recognizing those who audaciously ‘pretend’ to beauty beyond their present means, Pretentiousness is a deeply optimistic and affirming book.”

Joining Dan in conversation will be producer, filmmaker, and artist, Asad Raza. Moderated by Christian Lorentzen, Book Critic for New York Magazine’s Vulture, and editor-at-large at the London Review of Books.

Dan Fox is a writer, musician, and co-editor of frieze magazine, Europe’s foremost magazine of art and culture. He is based in New York.
