Legendary musician, writer, and artist Patti Smith pays tribute to Albert Camus, an author who greatly influenced her, as part of the festival Camus: A Stranger in the City. Smith will read selections from Camus’s works, including A Happy Death, a precursor to The Stranger that is one of her favorite books. She will discuss her work and life — and what the French writer-philosopher has meant to her — with award-winning novelist Kevin Baker.   Presented by GC Public Programs in partnership with Camus: A Stranger in the City, a festival commemorating the 70th anniversary of Camus’s only trip to America.
